Passengers flying with this carrier can soon access fast wifi in the air at no cost following a major agreement involving SpaceX's space company.
The airline stated that this no-cost, āquick and reliableā connectivity offering via the satellite provider will be available to passengers flying coach, business, or first class from the coming month.
The parent company for BA, the airline group, confirmed it had finalized an agreement with SpaceX for providing wifi services for 500-plus aircraft operated by their airlines, such as Aer Lingus, Iberia, and Vueling.
BA explained that this implementation for the technology was part of a multi-billion pound ātransformationā plan that will offer smooth wifi service for travelers starting at boarding to arrival, including when in flight across large bodies of water and isolated areas.
Passengers may link multiple gadgets while they will not need a unique password.

Restricted connectivity service remains available to British Airways passengers on nearly all of the airline's aircraft using their .air service.
Participants in the airline's frequent flyer program can transmit messages and text-only correspondence in the air without paying, while flyers who want to access music, video, or films throughout their flight if not travelling in business or first can expect to pay from £4.99 and £21.99 per connectivity plan.
The provider uses a system of thousands of spacecraft which is managed by the billionaire's SpaceX.
Their executive team have been working to turn the airline again following a period with cost cutting, system failures, labor disputes, plus mass redundancies.
BA noted that implementation with smart technology had helped it to reach its punctuality at peak performance since 2012.
Earlier this year, BA reported a rise for operating profits during the first half of this year, helping to push IAGās results upward.
