Chopper Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Well-Known Southern California Beach

A chopper flying near a crowded coastal shoreline unexpectedly commenced twirling wildly, eventually descending rapidly and plunging into a row of palm fronds as onlookers observed.

Footage shared on the internet capture the helicopter commencing to spiral over the shoreline then plunging in the direction of the perimeter of the coast, where it gets stuck between palm trees and a staircase near the Pacific Coast highway.

Emergency Response Information

Emergency responders said five people were taken to hospital comprising a pair who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the incident on the weekend.

Three individuals on the road were harmed. Information on their condition were still under review.

The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
